Intuition and Creativity
We were born to be creative. Only one thing can block creativity. That is the lack of inner stillness in meditation with the soul. Through its finer light, its expanded love, its higher purpose, inspiration flows. A stream of ideas begins flowing into the mind.
The personality resists stepping back; in its eagerness to help and to prevail over the life, it interferes with the clear channel that is being created by the disciple. The personality mind and emotions will claim the hours and fill them with low-priority tasks. The soul sees the true priorities for spiritual progress on the path. As the personality mind learns to listen and to harmonize its goals with the soul's vision, everything changes. Interest in one's spiritual group moves into the foreground with family.
Once a clear intention is set, and a regular meditation practice is begun, a profound sense of inner peace grows stronger. A sense of "right purpose, right relationship, right use of time and energy" comes forth and the soul enables the personality to see a higher purpose, a finer plan.
At the point where the channel of light from the divine and from the soul frequencies is open, the mind becomes creative with the ideas received. The finer light streams into the emotional body and into the brain consciousness. Creative projects that are well prepared are refined in the soul and mind, later revealed to the emotional nature and to the brain. Finally, a project is launched on the physical dimension that carries enough spiritual energies to draw others to it. At that point the created project has taken on a life of its own. The creating agent releases it for the world.
The Steps to Creating Successfully
By putting attention on what it would be like, what it could be like, to create with spiritual energies something that does not benefit you, the creative agent, in any way, yet will be helpful for others, energies flow together into the mind.
Create a vivid and detailed picture on the screen of the mind by using imagination, which is a divine faculty, to open the door to creativity.
Utter fearlessness. True creativity inevitably calls for courage. It calls for confidence in the ideas presented by the soul in meditation. Accept the opportunity to grasp the idea fully, to interpet it correctly, and to take time to let it develop in the mind.
Imagine that you are a journalist from Mars and are checking out those who are learning to take spiritual impressions (ideas) and examine them mentally very carefully before planning how to launch them out in the world. As this journalist for 24 hours, take notes on the thoughts and words and actions of the one who is also you on this planet. The discipline needed will become obvious. The right use of time and energy, the right use of the mind and the emotions will be clear too. This awareness from an impersonal observation is very important and useful.
Whose creativity do you most admire? Ask yourself why that creative act seems more important than other creative products to you.
Imagine becoming creative in similar ways. Bring the light of the soul through your mind and to the type of creative act you want to provide. You will need to hold this thought for three minutes — as the light travels to the mind, then to the emotions and brain, and into a beautiful and attractive form.
These steps enable the mind to rise into higher frequencies and align with the intuitive plane of truth, free from distortion and emotional fog. The inner aspiration to produce something useful and beautiful for humanity, is within all who construct a bridge to the soul. Assume that you can take the ideas from contemplation with the soul and use them for the benefit of others.
Study contemporary creative solutions which have contributed to a better and happier life for humanity.
Concentrate on the positive power of your creative forces when working with a group (three people or more) combining forces, putting the pieces of the creative puzzle into place.
Start with something simple. Design a new route to work or a new pattern of eating that is fun and healthy.
Additional action steps for creativity:
- Study books on creative thinking.
- Attend courses on creativity.
- Keep a daily journal to record thoughts, ideas, sketches. Review entries regularly to evaluate or interpret ideas more fully.
- Walk, bike, run, to extend oxygen capacity. The subconscious mind needs digestion time.
- Know that one small success leads to more ideas and greater success.
Creativity requires special skills. By practicing, one gets better. Cook with a creative mind. Clean in new ways. Rise 30 minutes earlier to sit in inner stillness with the soul and become more sensitive to these energies. The dull person, the sick person, the self-absorbed person, all suffer in misery from an inhibited soul life. A spiritually inspired person who creatively shares impressions through creative work can lift others to a healthier, happier, and finer life beyond anything that can be imagined.
Practicing overcoming inhibitions improves creativity.
When you're at a standstill, and you witness somebody with a vital and flowing creative force, it can be intimidating. The thing that's easy to miss when you're caught up in the magic of somebody doing something effortlessly that seems impossible, is that this skill doesn't happen all at once.
Almost anything can be achieved by breaking it down into smaller parts. Creativity requires patience and a willingness to work for a creative outcome rather than simply imagining that some mysterious "genie" will do the work while you sleep. Actually, this inner genie does work to help you generate ideas while you sleep if you meditate on what you want to create just before you go to sleep. Yet once you are awake, putting it all together is up to you.
Set up an environment that encourages creative output, a mental and physical space (no matter how small) where you can let your creative juices flow.
A program to stimulate creative living might include these areas:
Set a goal that can be measured ("more" of something is not measurable).
Initiate the use of a new idea each month.
Implement an original solution for a specific challenge or conflict.
Invoke a new, creative way to relate to friends or children.
Act creatively at every opportunity and replace habitual ways of living.
Above all else, if you want to enjoy life and enjoy yourself and relationships, begin thinking of yourself as a creative person.
"Act as if " —- and you will become exactly what you are visualizing. Make creative thinking a habit, something that comes naturally.
Take action after the inner spirit of the proposed plan is developed and stable. That is its life; its body (form) is the last step.
