THE SPIRITUAL FESTIVAL OF CANCER

The approach to higher spiritual energies are at their peak two days before the full moon, the day of the full moon, and two days after. This is because the moon is temporarily not blocking the Spiritual Sun. When possible meditate at the exact time of the full moon. The door is open for those groups who serve through a united focus and love.

Cancer energies concern the power of mass consciousness to think for oneself rather than form opinions by mass headlines. Mass consciousness can also be good and create a powerful shift for humanity. The demand for freedom is now widespread throughout the world. This is an example of an idea that was broadcast by the Masters to individual leaders. It is now popularized and finally has become dominant in mass consciousness. "Energy follows thought." is another example of an idea broadcast to advanced souls and then stepped down to reach wide groups of people. Many people realize that they will bring to pass whatever they focus on and visualize..

• On a higher level look for the influence of soul consciousness in each day and note the effect of this influence on you.
  
• Note your own thoughts and words for the past seven days that represensted mass consciousness and estimate this percentage.
• Note your thoughts and words that represented self-consciousness and estimate the percentage of these thoughts and words.
• Note your thoughts and words that emerged from soul consciousness and were expressed in the world and estimate the percentage of these thoughts and words.
• Reflect at the end of each day during this full moon period on these proportions. Observe shifts of your awareness and thoughts. Estimate the percentage of these thoughts and words.
• This is the meditation outline that will be used by many esoteric schools. (The seed thought may vary.) Pause between each step, and allow 10 to 15 minutes of silent meditation on the seed thought.
  

LETTING IN THE LIGHT

1. Begin with affirming the fact of our group fusion within the heart center of the new group of world servers, mediating between Hierarchy and humanity. "I am one with my group brothers and sisters, and all that I have is theirs. May the love which is in my soul pour forth to them. May the strength which is in me lift and aid them. May the thoughts which my soul creates reach and encourage them."

2. Project a line of lighted energy toward the spiritual Hierarchy of the planet.

3. Extend this line of light towards Shamballa, the center where the will of God is known.

4. Stand as a group within the periphery of the great Ashram of the Hierarchy. And open to the extra-planetary energies now available.

5. Hold your mind in a comptemplative state and open to the Light and Love seeking to find a place on Earth.

6. Reflect on the seed thought: Divine Love in the Heart of every cell--soul, mind, and body.

7. Visualize the energies of LIght, Love, and the Will-to-Good pouring throughout the planet and becoming anchored on Earth.

8. Say the affirmation: "In the center of all Love I stand. From that center I, the soul, will outward move. From that center I, the one who serves, will work. May the love of the divine Self be shed abroad, in my heart, through my group, and throughout the world."

9. Now visualize the immediate work to be done in establishing the "Pathway of Light" for the Masters to walk on earth again. The keynote for this Solar Festival of Cancer is: "I build a lighted house and therein dwell." Realize that you are building light in your spiritual body so that you can help build a lighted house for humanity.

10. As you say aloud the Great Invocation, visualize the outpouring of Light, Love and Power from from the spiritual Hierarchy through the five planetary centers: London, Darjeeling, New York, Geneva, Tokyo, irradiating the consciousness of the whole human race.

From the point of Light within the Mind of God
Let Light stream forth into the minds of men,
Let Light descend on earth.

From the point of Love within the Heart of God
Let Love stream forth into the hearts of men,
May Christ return to earth.*

From the center where the Will of God is known,
Let purpose guide the little wills of men,
The purpose which the Masters know and serve.

From the center which we call the race of men,
Let the Plan of Love and Light work out
And may it seal the door where evil dwells.

Let Light and Love and Power restore the Plan on Earth.

*All the major religions expect a return of a great Teacher. This teacher is known to Christians as the Christ, to Buddhists as the Lord Maitreya, to Muslims as the Imamn Madhi, to Jews as the Messiah, and to Hindus as the Lord Krishna. Each religion uses the name of its own expected one. Many spiritual seekers use these names as a symbol for the return of Spiritual Love and Light to the minds and hearts of all. You can also substitute the word "Divine Love" for the Coming One; the meaning will remain the same.

The following meditation will also serve to increase our receptivity to the spiritual qualities of Cancer.

Becoming Receptive to Soul Love

Begin by breathing in the rhythm of the soul.
Inhale with a deeper slower breath, as if your soul is breathing through you.
Linked with the soul be aware of the soul streaming into your head and heart.
Inhale with a deeper slower breath, as if your soul is breathing through you.
Reach up now and let soul light stimulate your head, heart, and ajna centers. Do this as the soul.

Creating a Channel of Love

• Imagine the many-petalled lotus of your head center and then focus on the twelve-petal heart center that is within this lotus. Each of your seven major energy centers is represented in your head center.
• Next create a line of light from this heart center within your head center to the heart center that lies behind your heart outside the spinal column.
• Now imagine a line of light connecting your heart center to the ajna center (between and just above your eyes). You are creating a funnel of light which draws a refined quality of divine love into your life. This love will gradually permeate your mind, your brain, and your emotions with intelligent loving understanding.
• Complete the connecting light to your head center to make a triangle.
• Sound the sacred word of O M very softly three times. Send the first O M to the soul, the second to the Hierarchy of Masters, and the third O M to humanity. This triangle of divine Love is now linked with your soul, with the hierarchy of masters, and with humanity.

• Next, connect with our meditating group. Connect with the united head center of the group as one dynamic point of light; next, connect with the united group heart center as a second point of light; and third, link with the united group ajna center as a third light.
•  
• Now create a large brilliant triangle using these three points of light. With your imagination, see this light as many hued, vivid and bright.
  
• Visualize your family and other groups filled with this love.
  
• Visualize the new group of world servers filled with this love.
  
• Visualize all humanity becoming receptive to this love.

Meditation is a powerful method of service to humanity when the mind is used as a channel to receive the energies of light and love for humanity. The moment of the full moon each month offers the greatest opportunity for meditation - particularly in group formation with the intention to use these energies to cooperate with the divine Plan or Intention for our world. The moon itself has no influence on the work; the full moon indicates a free alignment between our planet and the sun. The sun is our the solar center. It is the energy source for all life on Earth. At such times we can make a definite approach to God, the center of life and intelligence.
